Radianse has several patented algorithms that calculate real time location; our smart sense technology applies context algorithms to create situational awareness (who, what is where and when).
The Radianse R-1000 Series Real Time Location System (RTLS) receivers are used to create a ubiquitous data collection and transport infrastructure throughout a healthcare environment.
The receivers continually listen for active-RFID tags that are within their range and then automatically collect location and status data for those devices. The tag data is then transported via the network to a context application engine, which utilizes specialized patented algorithms to determine the precise location of each device.
The receivers are typically wall mounted just below the ceiling line and blend seamlessly into an environment. The units communicate to the network either by connecting to a high speed 802.3 LAN or Wi-Fi network. The receivers support Power over Ethernet (PoE). LEDs on the front panel provide status indicators to help with installation and troubleshooting.
The R-1700 (LAN interface) and R-1709 (WiFi interface) receivers simplify RTLS infrastructure design, speeds up implementation and lowers the cost of system installation. The receiver features an enhanced internal RF antenna design that allows for long read ranges and a higher degree of precise location accuracy. With its superior coverage capability within complex healthcare environments, fewer R-1700 reader units are required in most RTLS designs.
The E-700 Enhancer is a very low cost RTLS reader that is ideal to situate in areas that require precise room, or specific area (i.e. bed), level accuracy. This device acts as an enhancer to the R-1700 reader and continually communicates important ID-Tag location positioning and status information. The E-700 device automatically senses activity in a defined area and identifies specific tags that are within a highly-focused range. The E-700 is battery powered, which allows it to be quickly and easily installed in any location within minutes.
The data infrastructure between the receivers and application server can use the wired (LAN) or wireless (WiFi) infrastructure. Creating a virtual LAN segment keeps the data separate and secure.
Designing and installing an RTLS network is quite easy. Radianse's technical support engineering team will work with your technical staff to conduct a full site analysis and develop an implementation plan for your specific requirements. We can help with each major step along the way to ensure a smooth installation.
The airPointe Location Platform, which includes tags, receivers, application server and web-based software applications, all combine to provide a very powerful solution to track, monitor, locate and manage equipment and people assets. The intelligent solutions developed by Radianse for the healthcare environment deliver a whole new level of visibility and tools to help optimize business processes, enhance patient throughput, reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
