Radianse Exceeds 150,000 Active RFID Tagged Items in Healthcare
Major milestone reinforces customer acceptance of the Radianse Reveal platform
North Andover, Massachusetts, September 22, 2010 – Radianse, the pioneer and leading provider of healthcare Real Time Location Systems (RTLS), today announced it has achieved a significant new milestone of deploying over 150,000 active-RFID tags, which are an important component in the Radianse Reveal platform that dynamically monitors the location of assets, patients and staff.
The volume of ID-tags in operation today represents the overall acceptance of the entire Radianse Reveal platform. The Radianse family of ID-tags has innovative features and attachment accessories that make them quite functional and easy to deploy. The real value to customers is the RTLS system as a whole, with its ability to easily locate tagged items down to room level accuracy with a precision of +/- one meter.

The Radianse Reveal platform brings a new level of intelligence to any healthcare environment by using the ID-tags as location data points for high value moving assets – specifically equipment and people. As the proper tag (long-term reusable or short-term disposable) is attached to an asset, the tag data is collected through a network of receivers and passed along to advanced applications. At the user level, a clinical administrator has complete visibility of all the individual items in their environment, the exact location and has a variety of business related applications that use the data to manage workflow, throughput and interaction analysis.
The Radianse Context Engine employs the only patented algorithm that generates intelligent alerts and notifications used to drive clinical workflow based on associations or disassociations of two or more tagged items.
